Karaoke!!!
So it’s that time of year again: the time when students succumb to depression over the stress of midterms, papers, assignments, tests, and projects, made worse only by the looming reality that finals are just around the corner. It is a sad time for students everywhere.

This random anime girl is sad because of life's hardships... and because it's snowing.
The Japanese are much the same. They endure the hardships of what is referred to as examination hell where they write rigorous tests at the end of high school to decide not only the universities they will be able to attend, but also set the course of the rest of their lives. Following a more relaxed university environment, the hardship reappears in the formed of 就活, or job hunting. Many students struggle to find employment after wasting thousands of dollars on completing their university education.
These realities of student life are merely small events in the greater chain of life; they are challenges that test a student’s resolve in the same way that work-world will test the lives of workers.
But amidst the hardship there is salvation: karaoke. A modern activity that is essential to life in Japan, karaoke is a way for individuals to release all the stress and tension of their daily lives through the expression of emotions in song. So what better a time than now to take 2 hours out of the hectic “last lap” of the fall semester to revitalize the soul through song with CUJA?!

These random anime girls are happy, because they are at karaoke!
